Hi, I am totally new to this. I have Dreamweaver and just yesterday succeeded at uploading to hostmonster. Everything works except I have one button that takes you to a PDF. But no PDF. Is there something I need to do special to get a PDF to upload?
Thank you
Jean

What's the exact error? I suspect that the PDF file did not get uploaded. Use an FTP software like filezilla and enter your FTP account and see if the PDF file is up in the server.

If I understand you correctly, you may need to upload that PDF file using an FTP Client program.

I use SmartFTP (http://netdip.com/go/smartftp/)and it gets the job done.

As I said I am very new at this. Uploading was done totally thru dreamweaver and when I look at Public_html all files are there but the 2 PDF's. I've (put) the pages in a couple of times and all graphic files and html pages have uploaded just not the PDF. Pardon my ignorance, but are you talking about going to the control panel and going to the FTP tool button.
Thank you Jean

Since you mentioned that you're familiar with the control panel, here's what you can do:

Once logged in to the control panel, click on "File Manager"
From the file manager, click on the public_html folder (not the words "public_html", click the actual yellow folder)
Click the link that says "Upload files(s)"
Browse for the pdf that you want to upload and once you've selected it, click the "Upload" button

That should get it done.

Yup, the PDFs are just missing. I think Dreamweaver only uploads the html files. You have to upload the rest manually. I think mojojuju's instructions should be clear enough to help you solve your problem. Just reply if you still hit any snags and we'll try to help! :)
