Outlook 2002 setup ????

Hi,
I am trying to set up outlook 2002 with my HM domain. I am able receive emails but while sending it gives me error

Task 'mail.MyDomain.com - Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x80042109) : 'Outlook is unable to connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

Outgoing server is the same as the incomming server and I am using the same authentication as the incomming server.

Please advice what needs to be done to resolve this issue

Hi,

Try using yourdomain.com and not mail.yourdomain.com it works ok for me.

using mydomain.com instead of mail.mydomain.com does NOT work for me either....... any other suggestion?

Use mail.yourdomain.com AND you have to have SMTP authentication turned on and the SMTP port should be either 25 or 26.

Thank you ...... using port 26 for SMTP server worked from me !
