View Full Version : Untitled
I have published my site using page wizard. Now I am seeing all the pages have untitled on the toolbar.I check viewsource and see that the part of the heading where title is supposed to be,has untitled.I have edited and put the correct titles in and saved the pages but still they say untitled.
Any ideas of what I am not doing right? Thanks in advance!

I think with the page wizard, you have to right-click and select Properties to change the page title. It should go inside the <title> tags, but I played with it the other day and found that you cannot change the html manually.
Try to open the page you created and right-click the area where the page is and find an option that sounds like it will show the page properties. I think it's called Properties, but I'm not certain. You should be able to change the title there.

Make sure your logo.jpg is in the _wizardimages directory in your website. You can do this by going through the File Manager via CPanel.
As a matter of fact, make sure all your images are in that directory.
Hi again Shadmego,
Yes,all my images are in that directory.I contacted support and they said that my images are corrupted????? and that I had to delete them and upload them again, and then publish.I did all that and it is still not working....

You might want to try to open your images in the image editor you use and resave them. Sometimes, and very rarely, the process of saving images will corrupt the image.
I'm taking a shot in the dark here, but the problem might also be the bugginess of the program you are using. The more I hear about this Page Wizard software the less I think of it. It really does sound like much more of a headache than it is worth.
Have you downloaded any other programs yet?

The more I read about Page Wizard, the more leary I am about proceeding with it. Other than FrontPage, can you suggest any builders that don't draw you into their hosting payment plan?
MMEAD:confused:
Hi Shadmego,
To update you,I got the images going again.Apparently my leech protect was causing it.Now here is another problem.Page Wizard is not allowing me to add java script.I contacted support and they told me to use NVU or Dream Weaver.Does this mean that I have to buy those program software?Or if there is a free trial, can my site actually be uploaded with a freebie? How do I go about changing stuff?
Actually,I clicked on view source and got my html on notepad and added the java script there and saved it.Then I try to upload it using the FTP tools that is in my control panel to the public_html folder.Apparently this is not working.
MMEAD...I am new to this so I cannot help there but stick around. We have pretty intelligent people here with lots of experience.
Here I go again.I went to NVU site and downloaded it.I put in all my html and java script it and published my site from there. But there is no visible change to my website.I checked the view source and not seeing the changes I made.Hmmmmmmm??????Am I missing something?
P.S-Shadmego...I love your site. :) God bless

Two programs that are spoken highly of in here are:
HTML kit
NVU (pronounced N-View)
A simple search will show you their websites. While these are both free programs you can download to your computer, I'm not quite familiar with them. That is to say I don't know if they contain an upload feature in the program. If they do not, then I recommend FileZilla. Again, a quick search should find it.
HTML Kit, while a free download has the option to purchase the commercial version that allows you to install plugins (addons to the program that extend its feature set).
NVU is entirely open source.
Neither of these programs require you to purchase a hosting plan as they both are installed on your pc just like any regular program.

It is strange that your leech protection was causing your images not to load. Normally, leech protection is designed to prevent external sites from linking to your images, thus "leeching" your bandwidth and copyrights of your images. If it's working now though, then all the better.
NVU is completely free to download, install and use. You can also register with Adobe and get a full version of Dreamweaver for free for a 30 day trial.
If you would like to stop using Page Wizard, then I suggest making a backup of your site folder (the one that starts with "_"). Download this backup to your home computer and then delete it from your web server account.
You should then be able to start over with NVU, uploading your new pages to the public_html directory. Keep in mind that you will have to pay attention to the image paths inside your new html pages. There are plenty of threads on that subject.
What makes you think the pages you uploaded through your control panel are not working?

I would follow the steps in my previous post concerning backing up your page wizard site. After you download the backup to your home pc, upload the pages you made in NVU to your web site and see if that fixed it.
If not, then you will have to modify the HTML in your pages because Page Wizard might create links to interpreting files it uses to render its sites.

P.S. Thank you for the compliment of my site. It's in need to serious updating!
