==For those who it may concern i'm using Joomla 1.5==

I'm sure some of you know i'm concerned of keeping my CPU resources low and alot of you guys have helped me out big time keeping it low. But I'm looking for next big thing now i've done that, is it possible, ethical and reliable hosting my databases on external servers to keep my hostmonster account low on CPU. I've seen some groovy extensions on Joomla to load external databases but does databases play a role key on keeping the CPU resources down. If i'm off the mark but you know what i'm aiming for do you guys know of alternative ways to accomplish my goals.

I seen this url below surfing the Joomla site and it got me thinking is it possible to condense my site even further than just compressing files ??

It is certainly possible and ethical. As for reliable, well, there are a ton of variables we don't know enough about to answer that one.

Keep us posted! it sounds like fun, and something those of us who may be outgrowing HM's limitations should be thinking about.

Personally I wouldn't recommend it unless you can guarantee that the link between HM and your database won't go down and that it will be fast. Since Joomla is mostly database driven, then the speed/reliability between the PHP processor and the database to me is paramount.
