Evening,

I'm having issues bringing over an iWeb page over to my Hostmonster account. The domain name I'm trying to use is an add-on to my main domain (I want it to be seen as an entirely separate domain).

Can someone walk me through the steps, because what I'm attempting using Easy iWeb Publisher isn't working. What am I doing wrong?

Configuration Name: Random
Upload Web Site To: ftp://add-on site name (is this correct?)
Folder To Publish To: /public_html/ (is this correct?)
Web Site Username: my name
Web Site Password: my password

It keeps saying, 'Connection failure. Cannot contact ftp://add-on site name (whereas I'm using the name of the domain, of course).

Any help would be appreciated. This is supposed to be my wedding site! Future Wife is very displeased right now.

Thanks,
Anthony

I think you have two choices...

1. Use your main ftp account in which case the ftp server is your main server, just specify the folder (the add-on domain) in the 'path' slot

2. (Probably better)... use the cPanel to create a special ftp account with access just to the add-on domain as its root. Then still use your main ftp address for the server but for the account name, give this new ftp account which will then go directly to the desired folder because of the way you created that account.

In both cases, note that your ftp server address is still ftp.<yourmaindomain> the direction to the desired target is done either via specifying path or by the access granted to the login name.

Clear as mud? (And congratulations!)
