Php forum - Quick Reply

hi all, would like to seek some help here. I cant seem able to find to turn on the quick reply box and also another feature to sort the forum posting to LATEST First. Anyone can lend a helping hand? Much appreciated. Thanx.

I don't know what php forum software you are referring to. Can you elaborate on this?

Thanx for your reply. It is phpbb (v3 I think), it is one of the module in hostmaster.

from user point of view. We need to have a quick reply box jus as in this forum.

As far as the quick reply feature, phpbb does not come with this initially. You will have to search their mods database (http://www.phpbb.com/mods/db/). I took a look at a couple and saw some average postings about both addons where about half the people liked the mod and about half did not.

The ordering of posts can be done on a user basis from inside the User Control Panel.

Click on Board Preferences >> Edit Display Options

From there you can order the threads and posts as desired.
