I'm currently using the mailing list that's found on the Cpanel and find that it suits my needs. However, I'm wondering why I have to login twice to get to the membership management area.
I logon to the list using the same password that was used to create the list. When I then click on the Membership Management area, I'm asked for a password again.
Am I missing something here or is this the usual procedure?

It sounds like you are using the Mailman list manager. I used to use this program several years ago and have since moved to Dada Mail. I can't remember too much about the workings of the program but something in the back of my mind says I went through the same thing.
I do not, however, remember if I ever fixed the problem, if it just went away, or if I just got used to the behavior ....
Have you looked at all the configuration settings to see if there is a way to add or remove the extra login for Membership Management?

I've seen nothing in the configuration that would have an effect on the login. I've also considered Dada Mail, but the list of users is relatively small so going through the install process of Dada isn't worth the work.

I'd suggest to either use dada mail or use a RSS feed

A few minutes of work might be worth it if the software does what you want.

You can actually install Dada Mail through Simple Scripts.
Dada is also very easy and quick to set up and test if you don't have to have a heavily customized template.
You can check out what I did with Dada a couple weeks ago with a church site I manage:
www.febconline.org (http://www.febconline.org)
Look on the left side of the page for a link titled "FEBC Mailing Lists". Something like that will take several days to tweak just right, but the default installation should only take a few minutes.

Shortly after I started this thread I installed Dada Mail. I'm still experimenting with it and have a ways to go. I don't know if I'll switch the current list over to Dada or not as I don't have a large group of subscribers. However, it appears that Dada is a better product.
Thanks for the suggestions.
