The gz files in my Logs folder take up over 300mb - can I delete them? Or would that screw everything up? I know nothing about log files, just that they are taking up a lot of space.

300MB of of unlimited space is a lot? Who knew? ;-)~
Anyway, if you want to test, you can always back up the file to a different location, then delete the one in the Logs folder. If nothing bad happens, then you should be safe to delete the backup copy.
Better yet, take some time to download that file and store it locally for awhile. Should you realize you need it later, you can ... always ... upload it again. That is, if you have time on your hands!
I'm all about streamlining my web account. The smaller I can make it the better. Plus it helps everyone else on the server when it comes to automated server backups and file system checks. I just don't know what that file is harming by staying there ...
I'm off to check my log gz file!!!

Thank you :) I actually did compress the log files into one file and downloaded it to my computer with the intention of deleting it, then thought I should try to find out first whether or not I should be deleting it lol.
The thing is, I used to store all sorts of stuff on my server, but once I got to 1500mb, it would no longer let me store anything because it said that was the limit, so apparently unlimited means 1500mb...unless I'm missing something and I can upload to different places other than Disk /dev/sdd1 (/home1) when that gets full? When it told me I could not upload anymore, I checked the server status which is when it told me that Disk /dev/sdd1 (/home1) was at 99%.
I cleared a lot of junk off my server and got it down to 800mb, but it would be good to know if I really cannot go over 1500mb, in which case the 300mb+ log files are taking up too much room.

Very true.
For what it's worth: One of the sites I manage is using this much space (right now because I just checked: 7828.43MB). This is a church website that stores sermons for streaming and downloading, which is why the large number. I have yet to get the dreaded "limit" message.
But if I DID get that message, I might be inclined to speak with support about the issue. Especially if this message was presented to you in the recent past.
I also have another site who's space is sitting near 5GB (I think because I have NOT checked that site ... yet ...).

Well if that's the case, I'm sure it was just a one time HM related thing, I'll have to see what happens when I get up to that amount again.
Thanks for your help!

If you're getting an error about not being able to write to the disk and the home drive your account is on (/home1, I'm assuming in your case) is higher than 98%, you should probably contact support and let them know, as this is a problem they need to fix quickly.
Chances are they are already working on resolving it, but it's still better to let someone know.
