I added a Blog and linked it to my web site and no statistics show on AWSTATS even though I know it has been visited. Is this normal or am I looking in the right place? Confused member needs help! Thanks!

If you installed your blog on a subdomain of your site, then you have to activate the statistics for that subdomain manually.

I think that's what you are asking ....

Looks like your blog is hosted by Blogger. I believe that in order for stats to be tracked by AWSTATS they have to be associated with your domain in some way or the other. 'xyz.blogspot.com' is outside of your domain. AWSTATS should be able to track one level deep into outgoing links, but I don't use this software for my own sites so I'm not sure.

It's been a while since I last used Blogger so my knowledge of it limited to what I last saw about 2 years ago. You can either try looking for tracking statistics within your Blogger control panel or see whether you have the ability to insert a tracking code using free services such as Statcounter (http://www.statcounter.com/) or Google Analytics (http://www.google.com/analytics/).

On a side note: The nice thing about hosting a blog with WordPress.com (http://wordpress.com) is that statistics are all built in.
