Help in publishing my webpages

I've just purchased webspace through Hostmonster, and having been familiar previously with Geocities pagebuilder, I've built some webpages through Hostmonsters PageBuilder, however I can save these pages fine, but when I come to publish the pages I get the error "The following errors occurred during publish:Unable to connect to ********.com as an ftp host "

Is there a reason why my pagebuilder is failing to publish the websites so they can be accessed by a public URL?

I've been under the assumption HostMonsters pagebuilder works similar to that of Geocities, in that pages can be created, saved, and made available to the public via the server. Is this correct?

you must name your page index.html then publish it ,
