Is there a link or method to contacting hostmoster support from teh cpanel??

I have been lookinig and looking, but dont seem to find it.

Anyways, i am trying to find out how to locate the ip address to test out my website prior to brining it online?

The IP address for your account should be located in the CPanel on the left hand side.

You can access your site before going live by pointing your browser to:

XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX/~cpanelaccount

That is until your domain name is active. As far as contacting Hostmonster from inside CPanel, I don't know. I've never tried ... I always go to Live Chat (www.hostmonster.com (http://www.hostmonster.com)) and get them there.

thanks for the quick reply but i dont know what the suffix is in your xxx example.. i got the ip address, but what is cpanelaacct and how do i find that out

I tried the log in that i use at the hostmonster.com main page, that iddnt work, i tried the username...

I am just having all kinds of problems today... starting with my daughter using my pc again, and completly filling it up with spyware and adware... i couldnt boot my pc without several dozen popups all over, even with my antivurs and anti popup blocker thing...

Itried several differen methods to clean up / eradicate, but ended up reformating and starting over, and losing the emails with my log on account info

XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX = Address of server, e.g. host123.hostmonster.com or the IP address that corresponds to this server. Note that '123' will be replaced with the last 3 digits of the shared IP address.

/~cpanelaccount = Your cPanel account username (first 8 letters)

I tried it with my domain and it seems to be giving me a 403 Forbidden error. That's strange. Anyway, after 24 hours since signup your website should be accessible through your domain name.

There are free services that will guide you through the proper way of cleaning your PC of malware. One forum where you can find excellent guidance for this sort of thing (and other tech-related things) is the G4 Tech Support Forum (http://forums.g4tv.com/forumdisplay.php?f=17).

an easy way to find your server host is to go to http://serverstatus.hostmonster.com and enter your main domain or username in the section "alerts affecting certain servers" also you may want to bookmark that page as it is the first page i go to if i notice anything wrong with my pages loading
