Help for a beginner

I am trying to use wordpress blog script with my domain but all I see is an old site that i made with the page wizard site builder they have . When I try putting an appearence with wordpress all I see is this old site i had. I am pretty sure I deleted it. Any suggestions?

Did you install WordPress in your root web directory or in a subdirectory? If it is in the latter, did you try accessing the website with respect to that subdirectory?

If an index.html file exists within the same directory where WordPress is installed it will be displayed in preference to WordPress' index.php file. You must remove the index.html file before you can access your WordPress installation.
