Hello Everyone,
I am new to hostmonster so can someone answer a question for me. If I purchase a domain name from namecheap do I still have to pay a fee here at hostmonster to to have it hosted here.
Any information is welcome
Thank You,
Dennis

A free domain name is included when you sign up for a new account with HostMonster. However, if you have your own domain name you simply enter that domain name in the "I have a domain name" field here (http://www.hostmonster.com/cgi-bin/signup) and follow the instructions for the transfer.

Yes, the fees you'll pay for Hostmonster is known as 'hosting fees'; while the money you paid to NameCheap is 'domain registration fees'. They are two different things and had to be renew annually.
HM's free domain name offer is only valid when you DO NOT have a domain and are going to register an untaken domain name with them.
Anyhow, it's good to have your domain and hosting controlled by two separated parties - you'll have less hassles if one day you wish to switch web host. ;)
