FrontPage2003 has the ability to open webpages that are stored on the local hard drive, given.... FrontPage2003 also has the ability to pull webpages from remote drives (like servers) and treat them as though it were pulling webpages from your local hard drive. You can edit and then publish to the webserver. I know that Webserver Company ADDR has figured out how to do this. That is where my website was located and they had it setup for me so that it worked great. None of the website files were on my computers. I could work on the website from home and from work, no problem. Both computers pulled the website from their server. They did not use FTP, nor did I "directly" edit the pages. They used a http address and it was saved on my computer as a remote network address. All I had to do was open FrontPage2003 and then open the network connection and all my files were listed there on my screen. I was able to select the one(s) that I needed to edit and then I could publish. The http address was, http://username.addr.com/public_html.
Does anyone know if it is possible to setup HM to work like this? I have submitted several tickets and talked over the phone with HM but no real solution.
Thanks, EB:confused:
