I am redesigning a site for a client and have set up hosting at HM. The client currently has live her site hosted somewhere else. We will not be pointing the DNS to HM until I am finished redesigning her site. That said, if I want to see and test the new site that I am designing for her (the one hosted at HM, how do I get to it? I've tried using the IP address to no avail. I'm guessing b/c HM is shared hosting. Is is something like xx.xxx.xxx.xxx/home3/acountname?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Best thing to do is work out the name of the server you are on (can be found in Cpanel on the left hand side next to Server Name), then go to http://servername.hostmonster.com/~accountname
(You should be able to use the IP address as well but server names are easier to remember :) )

The thing you are looking for is called a dedicated ip address and because this is shared hosting you do not have dedicated ip address you can buy one from HostMonster from the renew my account panel once entered but it costs a little extra $2.50 per month ($30.00 per year).

Nah, no need for a dedicated. R2b2 had what is was looking for. Just needed to be able view the site until I pointed the DNS.
Thanks for the reply though. Much appreciated.
