Adding profile photo issue

Hi. This is of course not important, but I just joined and tried to add a profile photo and it keeps saying "Unable to save image". I tried pointing it to an image on my PC and tried pointing it to the same image on a website. I made sure that the image was no larger that 100pixels on the widest side and it is only 14kb so size is not an issue. I just also joined http://www.webhostingtalk.com forum which looks like the same forum suystem and could upload the same photo without a problem. Anyone got any ideas?

I believe you have to have a minimum number of posts (5 or 10) before you can get a profile picture ...

i dont know about that shad, i think it stopped working again. im glad i got mine uploaded when it worked. i tried uploaded something a couple weeks ago and got that same old error, but i just stopped messing with it. after it had started working, i remember you mentioning the number of posts. i also remember that as an admin option for the board, however it was only a day or two after you had made that post, that i started seeing people with 1 post and an avitar. go figure. that being said if im wrong again (that seems to happen a lot) it would mean the admins have been editing again. i guess it was this (http://www.hostmonsterforums.com/showthread.php?t=9&page=4&highlight=profile) one?

i even searched the members list (partially) and with over 20 pages of members with 0 posts, many had avatars. (although i did not look to see when those account were created)

oh well. sorry for the long post maybe alligosh will be back again soon

The last time this happened, permissions had been set incorrectly on the upload folder. I can try to get an admin to look into this again, but it took the better part of 6 months or more to get it fixed.

I'm unsure about the minimum number of posts required to get an avatar. It could well be zero ...

I will look into this issue.

Just thought I'd throw in my 2 cents - I am also still unable to add a pic to my profile, though I now have more than ten posts.

Uploading an avatar was no problem but the profile pic kept saying it was unable to save file, though they were within limits.
Tried again just now, and it is working.
