Im wanting to change my forums from phpbb to vbulletin. I already have my website setup to use phpbb and already have the vbulletin files. How do I go about swapping my forums from phpbb to vbulletin without losing the members and posts I currently have on my forums?
Do I just delete the forums folder that currently has my phpbb files in it and create a new forums folder to put my new vbulletin files in it? Or is there more to it than that?

Thanks in advance.

You may want to visit the vBulletin forums for specific instructions on how to do this.
However, you will essentially be performing an import using ImpEx (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=116398), which the vBulletin developers provide.

I doubt you can change it from PHPBB to vBulletin with keeping your members.Considering the way the setup is.That would have to be focused on the database maybe you could copy the member tables into the vbulletin table but i doubt it.
All you need to do is backup your forums folder & database just incase ;)

I just did a conversion from phpbb3 to vBulletin 8, it was almost too easy.
The only thing I had to do was send an email reminder with a new password.
