Hiding whois history info

Is there a way to hide whois history? When my site first was registered, it had my name as the info, rather than the privacy Hostmonster info. So if people look now, it only says Hostmonster, but the history reveals name and address and stuff I don't want out there.

Unfortunately I'm not sure if there's much you can do - once the information is out there, there's probably not much that can be done to get rid of it...

you can at least contact hm support and see if they tell you the same info. i dont know what the process is on updating whois data bases even if the info has changed but if hm support cant give you an answer, perhaps you can even contact the whois website that you found (there are quite a few, but the answer from one should be similar)
