Where and how do you install new mods for your php forum?
is that done from the cp of the forum or is it somewhere outside the forum?
I am looking specifically into mods that would allow me to insert ads, banners, google adsense ads, affiliates, and so on
thanks

I thought you had another thread (http://www.hostmonsterforum.com/showthread.php?t=4730) going on this already.
As I have told you already, you should read the phpBB documentation, especially as it relates to mods (http://www.phpbb.com/mods/). The instructions are pretty clear. Additionally, you may have to extract the mod package and follow the mod's specific instructions that the author provides; it may not be the same procedure in all cases.

yes, I did have another thread on this :o
I am a little overwhelmed with these requirements, and I got a little confused
I was also looking for a yes/no answer, regarding the ability to add these mods from my forum side or from the phpbb side.
thanks for your help

No need to get overwhelmed. Usually, the mod package that you download will have all the instructions (http://www.phpbb.com/mods/opening/?sid=a4f9a7308daa9f65f514b99cb1b765b8) you need. It is up to you to interpret them. However, if you are unclear about any particular instructions, then the forum community would be more than happy to help.
I can't remember what it was called exactly, but when I used to use phpBB 2.x there was a single mod which, after proper installation, would install other mods for you. All it required was that you upload the mod's .ZIP file and it would do all the work of installation automatically. It may still be available; check out the phpBB Mod Database (http://www.phpbb.com/mods/db/?sid=a4f9a7308daa9f65f514b99cb1b765b8). This may be an easier way of installing mods for you.
BTW, as I believe I said before in another thread about this same question, you should ensure that the mod you wish to install is supported to run under that version of your forum.

I am using a version 3.0 phpbb forum
I am not sure there is ONE MOD that can be installed which would contain all the others... still, I will look into it.
thanks for the help :)
