how to configure CVS

I want to configure CVS, but I try to enter to the SSH shell to install the cvs and the shell returns me a "public key authorization failed, try again", and I do not know what to do.

How can I configure or install a cvs on the host??

this is a thread (http://www.hostmonsterforum.com/showthread.php?t=3797) that could have been found if you had looked through the user submitted tutorial sticky and it is very thorough. it is not for the cvs installation but it will walk you through making and using the key for ssh.

it uses Putty, but the procedure would be similar for other applications as well
