Hi,

I used the free PhP BB Forum that is provided by the Hostmonster services. Ever since I have been using it, the forum is being spammed by Porn Sites. I locked the forum so that only registered users can post and now the members list is being spammed where hundreds and thousands of accounts are being opened under fake aliases and I would have to manually delete each one of them. It is such a tedious task that takes me hours and days to do. I was wondering if there is something that I could do to stop this? Or if there is a way to log into the database and delete all the unwanted users at once.

Which version are you using? phpBB2 is installed with Fantastico and phpBB3 is installed with Simple Scripts.

For phpBB2 I normally modify the code to include Freecap. If you're comfortable editing source code it's very simple. You can follow the directions from http://www.matthewleverton.com/howto/phpBB2-captcha.html
