View Full Version : Need help extracting .gz file with cron

I need to know how to extract .gz files in php so that they result the same as if I select each of them and click on extract in the file manager.

Here's the code I need to add the extract to the bottom of:

The files need to be extracted because in the next php file to run it calls for the extracted files to be used.

I suggest a program called notepad++ it is free and a great php editor. Don't know if this will give you what you want, but I extract the files on my compute using winzip then you can edit, cut, paste whatever you want in notepad++ and FTP it back to your site server.
