Sorry, but I must vent here:
I've been a hostmonster customer for nearly 3 years now. I had 2 credit cards on file, one was a personal card and the other was my business card. Last year I incorporated my business and had to get new accounts. I finally closed out the old account a couple months ago. So the business card on file with hostmonster was no longer any good. I find out this morning that my account was suspended, shutting down by e-store, forum, and all my web pages. One of my domain name renewals had come up and when the business card didn't work, they instantly, without contacting me, suspended the account. They didn't try using the other card, which would have worked.
Note that the domain name was still good for another month or two. None of my services were actually expired. There was plenty of time to email me, call me, or do something less destructive than shutting down my source of livelihood.
I was a happy hostmonster customer of several years yesterday. Today I'm not. I would like to protest their policy and recommend it be changed. It would be to their benefit not to seriously upset their customers in this way.
