I accidently deleted my public_htm and i don't know how to restore it.

either use the backup functions in cpanel and download the latest backed up version or contact support.

I do that and it brings me to a screen when it says restoring files but i don't know when its done or even working

You first have to download the backup copy and then restore it. It should give you some kind of status.

I think the best option would be to contact support and have them help you restore your files.
