View Full Version : ftp FROM hostmonster account to photobucket

Why does photobucket not accept connections from hostmonster.

I can ftp just fine from my PC
I can ftp from my unix workstation at work

However if I try to ftp from a hostmonster session, it fails to connect, every time.

When I could not get this to work from inside a php program, I tested the command at the prompt.
I know have the command correct, because the exact same command works on another unix system I tested with.

What errors are you receiving? I'm guessing that without a dedicated IP address that you aren't allowed to connect to FTP servers from Hostmonster.

It just times out failing to connect
then give me this:
Couldn't connect to ftp.photobucket.com

I guess I will look for another provider.
I do not really feel like paying for a dedicated IP address.
