Hi,
I have a Hostmonster email address. I managed to set up Microsoft Outlook (by luck!) so that it sends emails using this address. It works as I receive them at my Hotmail account.
However, Outlook does not receive emails to my Hostmonster address. I sent a test reply from Hotmail and nothing came through.
I'm not sure if its configured wrong or if I need to do something on the Hostmonster control panel to make it work. Is it possible to check received email somewhere on Hostmonster?
Can someone help? I really need to set it up on Outlook!!
Thanks!

Good luck trying to get this solved by HM.
I've had this problem a number of times and HM support always says is a problem with my ISP!!!!. Don't worry, is not your ISP.

Yea Ive been going back and forth with them, so far they have just asked me about my settings after i told them that I set them up just like the tutorial balah blah blah... its like they just give me stupid answers to put me off...but I just keep coming back. Anyways, I am looking into other places because I can't just not read my email and even the webmail won't load for me now. Yet all other websites i access work just fine! Hmm

If you want to utilize MicroShaft Outlook (NOT Outlook Express) to send and receive via your HM mail account(s) here's the setup procedure I used successfully for basic email service using the POP3 server settings:
Open Outlook
on the top menu, select "Tools", then "Options"
select the "Mail Setup" tab
select "E-mail Accounts"
select "Add a new e-mail account" and click "Next"
select "POP3" and click "Next"
"Your Name" = the name you want to show for this account, i.e. John/Jane Doe
"E-mail Address" = emailname@yourdomainname.com (mailname@yourdomainname.com)
Incoming mail server (POP3) = mail.yourdomainname.com
Outgoing mail server (SMTP) = mail.yourdomainname.com
User Name = username@yourdomainname.com
Password = your password for this domain's account
then select the remaining check boxes that apply to your desired setup and click "Next"
click "Test Account Settings" (Outlook will now send a test email to the new account)
close the "Test Account Settings" window (providing all tasks are complete - note that the "Log onto incoming mail server (POP3)" task status will remain blank) and click "Next", then "Finish", and you should be returned to the "Mail Setup" tab of Outlook.
Now, click the checkbox for "Send immediately when connected" if you so desire
then, select "Send/Receive" and add the account using the "New" option (if it does not show up already) and select whatever other options you desire for that account.
click "Close", then "Apply" / "OK" and you should be set.
Hope this helps!

Ok, so i followed the step by step advice, and i am close to it being the way i want.
Whats happening is after i click on the desktop icon to open up outlook. It asks me for my password of my original e-mail account. The username is automatically filled out. So i put in my original password, and the mail from the old (not hostmonster) and new account (hostmonster account) is lumped together. How can i seperate the inboxs etc.. and passwords. Thanks.

I am personally not aware of how to isolate emails from different accounts to different "inboxes" while they are downloading.
I receive email from multiple accounts lumped together, too, so here's what I did to know which ones were which (again, this applies to Outlook, NOT Outlook Express):
Open Outlook
click "Tools"
"Email Accounts"
"View or change existing e-mail accounts"
"Next"
Highlight the account to be edited
click "Change"
In the User Information section (upper left)
change "Your Name" to a unique name for that account
Repeat as needed for remaining accounts.
The next step is to modify the fields of your inbox to include the "E-mail Account" field. This field will contain the unique name you have selected for each account so you'll be able to know which accounts they came from.
There are additional settings in Outlook to the "View Pane" and field sorts to separately group them, and sort them within those groups. Take a good look at some of the options Outlook provides. As much as I dislike MicroShaft, Outlook is a very robust handler (IMHO).
Hope this helps!
