Noobie SendMail probs

Setup the website fine , but registration emails dont seem to be going out.

I tried changing the options from mail to sendmail with default directory at

/usr/sbin/

mail kept listing send error whereas the sendmail seemed apparently to send ok but the recipiant never actually recieves the email, every new account has to be activated manually.

Still a noob so try be gentle but any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm having the exact same problem and I've been doing this on other servers for about 8 years, so it's not a noob problem, to make it worse, support is as useful as...something extremely useless, on this topic.

Any help on this subject please. I can't find documentation anywhere.
/usr/sbin/sendmail has always worked before. Is it different on hostmonster or the same?
