Hey guys, I just had my hostmonster account moved to a php5 so that I could install the latest version of mediawiki for a new project that I am working on. I got through the whole install and now, when I create an account in mediawiki and log in I get an error "500 Server Error
A misconfiguration on the server caused a hiccup. Check the server logs, fix the problem, then try again. URL: http://www.schalicto.com/iRoast2/index.php?title=Main_Page"

obviously the wiki is located at http://www.schalicto.com/iRoast2/

Try for yourself and see if you get the same problem. I've submitted a ticket, so we'll see how that goes. Do you know anything about this? Anything you know that could help me? Based on that error is sounds like a server error and not a problem in the software or install. What do you think?

Have you checked the logs, like the error advised to do?

I don't really know how to do that.

Go to CPanel and inside there to the "error logs" section.

I did look there, but I didn't see anything dated for yesterday (when this occured).

Also try to check the raw access logs, just in case.

You can always submit a suppor ticket on the issue if you really think it's a server problem and not a misconfiguration of mediawiki.

A google search for '"A misconfiguration on the server caused a hiccup" mediawiki' lead me to this link

http://www.bluehostforum.com/showthread.php?t=3602

and that solved the problem :)

If you use an iRoast2 coffee roaster feel free to use the wiki to record what roasts you use for what beans :)
