OK, so during all the issues getting my main site up, the addon account that I host has lost it's email. I switched the account about a month ago and have not had any problems. My question: am I supposed to re-do or register the email in some way. I assumed it would just switch over with the domain. The email is specific to the account (thatguy@theotherdomain.com)

Did you create the email address in cPanel?

yes I have....imput all the hostmonster info in his Microsoft Mail account and no go....says it can't find the server.

As I said earlier, it worked until today...it is vital that he gets up and running.

what are you using as settings in microsoft mail for the server, username and password?

It *SHOULD* be:

mail server (pop and smtp): mail.addon.com

username: thatguy@theotherdomain.com
password: ****

I know you said you had it working until today, so you should also check that the site is still up and active in your browser.

It might also help to know if the addon domain was part of a domain transfer ...

Sounds maybe like a DNS issue on the user's machine - you should be able to at least contact the server (even if the username was wrong)

Thanks for the help. It was an internal problem with my hostmonster account. Tech support was great!
