Hi!

I just installed the Add2it (http://add2it.com/ref/track.cgi?id=starkwin&pid=complete2) Mail Responder Pro script on my site, and in going through the set up, I came up with a couple of questions about sending mail using HM's service.

Would it be better to use the "sendmail" or the SMTP method of sending out list mails?

What limits doesHM set, if any, on how many mails can be sent at any one time or during any given period of time?

I'm anticipating building a sizeable opt-in list and creating a membership site. I might have to send hundreds, or even thousands, of mails at a time.

Any experience in this area, anyone?

Thanks,
Steve

LOL... and DOH!

I think I found my answer... at least part of it. HM imposes a 50 mails per hour sending limit, so that answers that. If I have over 50 subscribers, I'd have to set the script to wait 60 minutes between sends. They can make exceptions for legitimate reasons, though, and I would think a business mailing list would qualify. I'll check with support when the need arises.

I'd still like input on which method is best, though -- sendmail or smtp.

Thanks,
Steve
