Hey.
I want to install Ventrilo on my webserver.. but im prolly right that i need just more than a webserver right?
i need a dedicated IP right? and hostmonster is offering a dedicated IP?
and the SSH... i just need to send them some infomation and my pretty face right?

You are right about both things.
The dedicated IP is an extra $30 per year I think. Search in the forums, I think the real price have been said before, and maybe I don't remember well.
Dedicated IP's are $30/year and are pro-rated. But since the new year is next week, that really doesn't matter. :)

Oh, and you will most surely need to request support, to open Ventrilo's ports in the firewall, or it won't work. You must do this once you have your dedicated IP.

Sorry for thread hijacking but... You can host ventrillo on your webserver?
Is there any bandwidth restrictions or anything like that?
30$ a year seems kinda low unless you mean the private version in which case you can only host 8 people on this server. I guess this is the case because the people who own ventrillo want it licenced for real servers.
And if thats the case if teamspeak works is there bandwidth restrictions for that?

Amazing, I didn’t expect this much versatility in a host. I’ll have to try this out. Thanks for the RTFM type obvious revelation reply tho, lol.
