I have 4 subdomains and can use WS_FTP for only 3 of them. The last one shows the password being rejected in the log:
USER lascala
331 User lascala OK. Password required
PASS (hidden)
530 Authentication failed. sorry
! Logon failure, so quitting
Funny thing is, I CAN use FrontPage to upload to this domain, I just can't use WS_FTP. How can the same password be accepted by FrontPage but rejected by WS_FTP? And how can 3 out of 4 subdomains work OK when the same password is used in all 4?
I contacted support, and they said "if it works OK in FrontPage but not in WS_FTP the problem must be in WS_FTP". I don't think that's true, because if I set my DNS back to my old host, WS_FTP works fine!
Anyone have any suggestions on why WS_FTP would not like the password but FrontPage works fine (and WS_FTP works fine on another host)?
