what's the different between fantastico and simple scripts?

I'm new for this web hosting, please some body give me a litle info, please.

There is not much difference between the two programs in general terms. They both install programs automatically.

Fantastico gets updated much slower than Simple Scripts as far as program versions. For instance, when a program comes out with an update, Fantastico will have it available several months after the release and Simple Scripts might have it ready for installation in mere days.

Simple Scripts is completely third party. In fact, you actually leave HM servers and go to the Simple Scripts website to install programs. Simple Scripts also offers a wider range of programs available for installation.

Another tid bit of info:

Fantistico and Simple Scripts name your MySQL databases differently, so if your not sure how to look it up, it would be a good idea to write down which one you installed with and the related MySQL database name.

Personally I like Fantastico because it's native and it names databases more logical, for example, install Drupal with Fan your database is mydoma_drpl1 and with SS it would something like mydoma_ss1077...
