Is it weird for a website with insider or informer in it's name to hold contests?

Let's say I have a website called movieinsider.com or movieinformer.com and it's a site for movie news, would it be weird for me to hold a DVD contest for my members?

The reason I ask is because people may expect the site to just be news, with a name like that.

In my humble opinion, NO, it wouldn't be weird. Who knows, it may drive more traffic to it!

Perhaps you could either put up a poll and ask your visitors for their opinions (they are the ones who matter most anyway), or just put up a "test" contest to see what kind of response you get.

The key thing is to try something. The worst that can happen is it doesn't work, in which case you can tweak it or remove it, or, the best case is it will bring more traffic. I say give it a shot, it can't hurt.
