Well i guess you could use some sort of open source application but thats more complicated and i guess the reason your asking is to uncomplicate things, since it was a very vague post i will only have to assume you're asking is there a more simple way of adding pictures. Well yes with a site builder that lets you do that but you're going to have to know how to do it anyway 5 mins later with something else so why don't you just google a good tutorial on the basics of web development it will pay off in the long run i promise. I believe HostMonster has a site builder but i haven't used it so i can't say what it's like but alot of beginners did say Yahoo site builder was a great learning curve for them.

I suggest trying out a Wiki. (use simple scripts to install)
