Video Quality

I find it much easier to simply upload a video to Google and paste the link onto my website. My question is this... if I stream videos directly to my website without using Google is the quality better?

You generally get better quality from a direct source. Sites like Google and YouTube convert videos to Flash when they are uploaded, so they lose some quality.
