First thing I'd like to know is how can I (or a user) log onto my domain's webmail without having to go through the Control Panel?

Second thing is, can I allow a user to change his/her own password, agin, without going through the domain admin's (i.e., MY) logon procedure?

Thanks.

Make a subdomain such as, mail.youdomain.com and then have it point to the horde directory.

Follow these directions:

Go to cPanel
Click subdomains
Enter 'mail' in the box on the domain you'd like
Click 'Add'
Go back to the subdomains page
Where it says 'Setup Redirection', choose that newly created subdomain and click the button
Enter http://www.youdomain.com:2095/horde/index.php or https://www.youdomain.com:2083/3rdparty/squirrelmail/index.php in the box
Click Save

Now when you go to mail.yourdomain.com if will be redirected to the horde directory

Hope that helps!

I did this exactly. Useing:

http://www.ptpclan.net:2095/horde/index.php

Which works when pasted into the address bar.

but every time i go to mail.ptpclan.net it goes to

http://www.ptpcla.net:2095/horde/index.php

Notice it drops the n at the end of ptpclan.net.

I have rechecked this and redid the redirect 5-6 times. Each time it drops the n. PLEASE PLEASE tell me why.

Every time I click either the Horde or Squirrel links, I go to a blank page. It doesn't take me to my email. I tried setting things up as mentioned in the post so that I could access through a mail subdomain. That did not work either.

Also the link to submit a support ticket does not work at all. I get nothing when I click it.

Please advise.

Thanks,
Karen

you should just be able to go to www.yourdomain.com/webmail.

Log in with the email address for the user and that user's password. There are account settings links once logged in and the first link is one that will let the user change his/her password.

Also, I'm wondering if the redirection setup would interfere with pop/smtp access through email clients?
