check the error number across internet. Find for clue.
also check the php.ini and htaccess, usually these two can causes blank page after installation.

Hello,

Can you paste the exact message here. Also note that when you created a password when installing zen-cart using fantastico, it limits your password to only 8 characters. So if you entered more than 8 characters in your password, try using only the first 8.

sounds more like the install didn't complete. 2 things you could do here: 1) use fantastico to uninstall and then reinstall (i.e. try again!), or 2) install manually, which isn't that hard. i have found the automated install to be glitchy with some hosts, occasionally the install is heavily customised (why i'm not sure) and a few occasions i have encountered some files missing for add-ins i have used after the initial install. i can confirm hostmonster support the latest release of zen-cart, so why not learn to install it from scratch?

or the preferred method:
uninstall whatever you have done and use simple scripts
fantastico doesnt usually have the latest versions and their upgrade process isnt always what it should be either

i haven't tried simple scripts, i assume you've had no probs?
i think it's still beneficial to learn from scratch, it's not rocket science, and gives a good grounding in some of the zen-cart basics...

The way I feel about SimpleScripts and Fantastico and any other auto installer is that they are beneficial if you are running tests on software and you want a quick and dirty test bed.
I typically don't use anything in a production setting that came from an auto installer method and instead, choose to manually install a software package should I want to use it on/for a live site.
I think there are several distinct advantages to manual installs over automatic ones. One is it does give you a good foundation for the program/software/script you are installing, like qualiue9 pointed out. Another reason is that it allows for much more configuration tweaking during the installation process. One thing I like about SimpleScripts is that for the most part, they let you *sort of* do a custom install, depending on the script, but it is never as custom as the manually installed version.
Just something to think about ... and only my opinion ... for what it's worth ...
