OK, let us make a SPECIAL thread for this so we can measure how well and efficient is HostMonsters' server.

I started hosting with HM on the Nov 1, 2006 and this is the first time I experience server down issue. I cannot access my site for the past 30 munites (both via http or ftp).

Hope they can resolve this problem urgently. Any of you guys have the same problem please post it here. We will make our statistic out of this thread later.

Thanks.

OK, now my site is up. Experience SERVER DOWN for about 30 minutes.

I have never observed any downtime, although I seldom access my server, it is more of a placeholder until the near future, I'm still developing the stuff I want to put there.

I had one day in which service was sporadic, but I believe it was a network or ISP issue rather than server downtime.

I've not experienced any downtime. A few times the site seemed to have loaded slowly, but I can't tell if it's my ISP, Hostmonster, or some segment inbetween.

Zero complaints from here.

There is bound to be some downtime every month due to server reboot.

So far, I've only noticed one outage in the past month. It occured just a few moments ago, and lasted about the time it takes to reboot a server. Are there power issues at the server farm? Did someone at the farm accidentally kick a reset button?

If a server gets stuck or there is some problem requiring a reboot for fixing, they reboot the server.

As each server hosts a lot of individual accounts, even if only one user has a problem or blocks the server with some proccess and requires a reboot it has to be done. That's why reboots are more frequent in shared server enviroments.

In any case it takes a couple of minutes as most to reboot so it's not so important!
