Hello,

Whenever I try to login to the Control Panel from my work computer I get "This Page Cannot be Found" error. Any idea how to fix this?

I really just need to check my E-mail actually, if there's a way I can directly login to my Host Monster E-mail without logging in to the Control Panel that'd be best.

Thanks,

-Or Bar

The URL to your site webmail is http://www.yourdomain.com/webmail/.

Are you behind a proxy server? A lot of proxy servers are setup to only allow certain ports to be used. Since CPanel & Webmail both use non-standard HTTP/HTTPS port numbers, then the proxy may not be passing your request through...

I do know of a cPanel Proxy, used to access cPanel and Webmail behind restrictive firewalls, However I am not sure HostMonster Allows this

Best to check with support I guess...

Yes I agree with r2b2, I know they state things in hte TOS About proxys, but I dont know it it is the same in this case

Well, the ability to check my HostMonster e-mail would've make things more comfortable but I won't go out of my way trying to solve it. Thanks for all the replies.

go to http://login.hostster.com

Now you can do 2 things.
1- If you fill in your domain account info e.g "whatever.com" and the password, you can start using CPanel.
2- if you fill in your e-mail account "whatever@whatever.com" and the password, you can use your Webmail.

Works for me...

there is an issue with that link redirecting to a hosting auction site.

go to hostmonster.com, login to your domain, click the link to cpanel, in the email tab click on email accounts, click on any of the icons for your email accounts (it doesnt matter which one for what i am trying to do for you) in the access webmail column, when the signon screen comes up dont enter your password just click login, the cpanel webmail page will open in a new browser window. its url will be your server ip and a port. it will say login attempt failed. BOOKMARK this page and you can come directly to here from your bookmark to use squirrelmail or horde to read emails.

i know thats a little complicated but i dont know if the port is always the same so i didnt want to tell you just to enter your server ip with the same port as what i have in case its different.

you could also try to have cpanel auto configure a program like outlook for you and get your mail that way. but my round-about way of getting you bookmarked for cpanel webmail should at least get you to your mail.

you can login at webmail using any of your email accounts:

emailaccount@yourdomain
password

hope this helps

now reading your original post i see you may not be able to do that from work, you could try to do that at home then send the link to yourself in an email. if you know how to setup outlook or something similar manually, you can get the incoming and outgoing server and other info and set that up manually. you could google how to set those up as well if you do not know how

Mail Server Username: youremail+yourdomain
Incoming Mail Server: mail.yourdomain
Incoming Mail Server: (SSL) host226.hostmonster.com <--you'll have to check if same host as yours if you want ssl
Outgoing Mail Server: mail.yourdomain (server requires authentication) port 26
Outgoing Mail Server: (SSL) host226.hostmonster.com (server requires authentication) port 465 <--you'll have to check if same host as yours if you want ssl
Supported Incoming Mail Protocols: POP3, POP3S (SSL/TLS), IMAP, IMAPS (SSL/TLS)
Supported Outgoing Mail Protocols: SMTP, SMTPS (SSL/TLS)

You can set up your own Horde, RoundCube or ohter Webmail application and access it throught http://yourdomain.com/email

It would need to be installed to /home/xxxxxxxx/public_html/email

Works for me...

I know for sure that was NOT the link I posted! Who of you forum Admins or Moderators changed/edited my post without letting me know?

The changed link goed to an auctionhouse. Do you think that steps 1 & 2 can be followed there? Do you think I am stupid? You should have just removed my post, what you probably will do anyway after reading this one. I only hope someone else reads it before you do..

If for some reason the link should not have been mentioned, then just say so. However everybody could find it on the internet.

I think that this was also my last post here...bad habits....
