Just trying to understand how the back-ups process works. I didn't touch the back-up icon since I started here. Should I? Or is the Host Monster system automatically takes care of it?
And what does it mean when I manually back-up?
Thank you,

You should always back up your files and your databases. Run the wizard, save the files and then use something like Mozy as an added place to store them. If anything were to happen (such as someone hacking into your site) you will be so happy that you backed up. Depending on how often your website changes, you will want to back up accordingly. I have a blog that changes daily so I back up my SQL databases frequently.
Good luck... there is a great thread in this forum on backing up (I think it's pinned up top) read it, and do it ASAP.
Here's the link I mentioned http://hostmonsterforums.com/showthread.php?t=707 Read the thread... it's very informative and it helped me a lot.

Thank you, I'm downloading the backup right now-- I understand from your link that Host Monster also does it automatically but I shouldn't rely on them, which is good logic.

Yeah, I think that multiple copies in a few different locations is always wise... that way you don't lose all of that hard work (or all of that money if someone designs for you.) Also, if you have data that changes daily, or hour by hour, then you may want to back up more often than the server does.
Good luck, and I hope you never have to use those backup files! :)

Well, thank you! Let me just be clear here:
I've downloaded the "daily backup" and it gave me a 155MB RAR file, does this mean that all of the content of my website is basically in that file? Or should I do that "full backup" thing? (I don't see the difference at it is)
Daily backups just include the folders under /home/username, which yes includes all the files for your site and any sub-domains and add-on domains.
A full backup includes all of the cpanel files, such as email address and other settings that only HM can restore.
