For the last month or so, I find that my site will be down a few minutes here and there and everytime I log into my Cpanel and look at Server Status there is a yellow or red light blinking at me.

This is becoming unacceptably frequent.

If Hostmonster cannot restore thier usual good service and uptime, I may have to consider a move to anther host.

I have been with Hostmonster for some tme now and this last month has been the worst I have ever seen.

And I do submit tickets, but most of the time my site will be back up before I ever get a reponse. But still, the fact that the site was down is not good and as often as it has happened this last month is really not good at all.

Lets get it together Hostmonster, you dont need to gain a crappy reputation like some of the other hosts that everyone knows sucks.

To what I know of if they have a total down time over 240 minutes. (4 Hours) they are no longer considered a 99.99% uptime. But just curious how much space do you have? I think I know why other people are getting more downtimes. I use very little space. 3 gigs now. But if you have 950 free flash games you might have something related to space (Not that if you are close to the limit 1,500 Gigs)

How are you gauging your downtime? Do you have an exact figure? 99.9% uptime calculates to approximately 8 hours of downtime per year. Unless your site has experienced over 8 hours of downtime since this time last year, Hostmonster is still on-track.

I meant to say 4 hours a year. Didn't think it was 8.

My whole site, games and all take up only 1.5 gigs and so far this month I have used 13GB's of bandwidth.

Not to mention that before this last month, everything has been just fine.

Any downtime is dangerous. My provider offers 99.95% uptime. I also monitor with a different company. They call, E-mail, or text me whenever my website comes up as unavailable. Website monitoring is a highly important aspect in a virtual business.
