Ok, this is going to sound a little stupid and I am sure the answer might be way too long so if someone could just point me to the answer, I can possibly go do some reading and figure it out but I am totally lost at this point. I have FTP's some files (ebooks) to my site. I bought the site script from someone who installed it for me because I probably could not have done that either. I have a screen that looks like this:http://mylister.com/Members/7/1/ebooks.JPG
I am completely clueless as to what to do next to get these files of ebooks onto my site. Actually, the site is there and many of these ebooks appear to be there at my site but I have no idea what the URL would be from which an ebook would have to be downloaded. I am an Ebayer and have to create a download link for each ebook when a buyer pays since Paypal would direct them to a download link. I cannot figure out where to go from this screen. I have many ebooks in the File Manager that are not yet on the site. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

For a start, your books should probably go inside public_html folder. Before you do that, you should probably think about a bit of organization, like maybe some of the books of different types should go into their own folders.
Then after you've thought out a system of organizing things, go INSIDE the public_html folder, create these folders (notice the New Folder tool icon), go inside each of them and then upload your ebooks to there.
Make sure to use internet friendly names for your folders, ideally all lowercase, use only letters, numbers and the underscore and hyphen in these names.

How would you like to offer those ebooks? A download link, for it to be directly readable on the site etc...let me know precisely what kind of result you would like to have displayed on the site, and Ill tell you precisely how to set it up :)

Thanks to both of you for trying but I am definitely lost. I do not know anything about FTP or how to put folders in the right place, etc. I FTP'd them to the site and they site in a folder called tmp and I cannot even find some of the ebooks that I uploaded (the 1.zip folder above) in the place where i am supposed to set my download link. I am going to need someone to walk me through this click by click over the phone. I need to be shown how to do what to do instead of just what to do. Anyone in the USA?

First off, welcome Brett! Actually nerdykit gave you some good advice about organizing first. From the file manager screenshot, there is nothing in the public_html and if nothing is in that directory, there is nothing for the public
to "see"
You would have to move a file, 1.zip for example into the directory public_html for it to appear on your site, and there maybe pitfalls involving
zipped files that I would not be aware of.
Otherwise, take a deep breath, reread the posting by justafriend, and compose an email detailing how you want the offering to appear, and send to
justafriend, whom is a senior member, experienced, and is graciously offering
to help.
