I recently purchased a dedicated IP address and was notified that my new dedicated address is ready (after a 24-48 hour propogation period which has already passed).
However, my domain name still resolves to the old shared IP address (tested by simply pinging the domain name). If I visit my new IP address via my web browser I get the "There is no website configured at this address" default HostMonster page and visiting my cPanel still takes me to the old shared address. What is curious too is that connecting to the new dedicated IP address via SSH seems to take me to the same host that connecting to shared IP address does.
I kind of expected the transition to be transparent - ie. everything on my site remains as it is but the domain name resolves to the dedicated IP address. Before I contact live chat, is there something that I am supposed to do myself or is this supposed to be a completely automated process from my perspective?
