I have been with a "competitor" for the past 5 years and that "competitor” (POS powweb) was just bought out a few months ago and their service went to crap. That was why I changed hosting providers. Now over the 5 year time I have acquired a total of 5 different domain names, and I just added another one when I signed up with HM. Now the problem I am having is that I am having a hard time trying to understand the information about hosting the other domains on my new account. I have searched the forums and have been reading for the past hour, (don't know if I have found the answer or not, everything seems to be a blur at this time of night), and the only thing I have come up with it that I use the "add-on" feature. But if I use the add-on feature then doesn't that create a sub-domain (i.e. something.mydomain.com)? Because I am not wanting this. I am wanting to have my mydomain.com, mydomain1.com, mydomain2.com, mydomain3.com, and so on. I have created the different directories in my html directory and I guess I am just stuck. I can change the DNS settings to all of the domains, that is not an issue. I have 3 days left on my other hosting plan so that is why I am wanting to figure this out soon. TIA.
yuo need to but a reseller package if you want to host more than one domain
Hostmonster can host unlimited domain names, you don't need a reseller account. maindomain.com, domain2.com, domain3.com etc...
You do use the add-on domain feature in cpanel. Yes this will create a sub-domain off of the main domain (domain2.maindomain.com). Once the domain has propagated to your account (24-72 hours, but usually takes only a couple of hours), you can use the add-on domain normally.

Thanks for your reply. I figured it out early this morning. Now that only thing I would like to find out is this.
OK I have my main domain (domain1.com)
And now I have my other domain (domain2.com)
I have to install domain2.com into its own directory. And doing that causes the URL to look like domain2.com/domain2 Is there any way to make it so it only shows up when you type in the url (domain2.com) it show only (domain2.com)? I was able to change it with my old host using the htaccess file. Can I use that here or is there something else that I need to do for it?
when you create an add-on domain it create a directory for you in public_html
You can put everything in that directory. If you still need to have it in public_html/domain2/domain2 then you would have to re-setup the add-on domain and tell it that's where the directory is.

I just checked the "add-on domain" feature and it shows that it created that directory. But the problem is when I try to install PHPNUKE to that directory I get the error message that there can be only one instance of phpnuke installed on the root, so I have to creat the /domain2 folder again. So when I look in the file manager I have.....public_html/domain2/domain2. LOL And I am only wanting public_html/domain2.... I am going to try to remove the add-on and then wait an hour and re-add it again. Wish me luck
