I have been trying to get help from the support for the firewall software but so far most of their advice has only wasted my time and not fixed the problem.

Anyway, the software is CA Security Suite.

The problem; Data never loads into the cPanel File Manager v3 when the firewall is enabled. (if I disable the firewall things work fine) Does anyone know how to get the CA firewall to accept the File manager page? I expect it has something to do with ports but the support people at CA seem to want to to keep re-installing the software and re-starting the computer repeatedly even though I've already tried this.

OOps forgot to mention. Windows XP Pro, I was able to use the file manager with a previous security software but I didn't want to load that again when I had CA available. The old software kept causing problems with the network printer so I thought this other software might be better though the problems accessing the file manager are a bit annoying.

Thanks

maybe you could accept the prosses that your file manager uses in the firewall

You can also attempt placing the webpage into a whitelist of sorts in the CA program. I'm not familiar enough with CA software to point you to the right place, but you should be able to add your domain name to the whitelist.

Short of that, try adding the port 2082 to your allowed ports.

let us know how it goes.
