Does anybody here use Hm Mail list for Autoresponders ?
Is it comparable to Aweber, getresponse or other similar autoresponder programs who are quite expensive.
I would like to build up a Opt-in list and need to know if I can go with this first, before I actually do it.
Thanks for reply

Nobody has an Opt-In List ?
I really would love to know if I can use the one HM is offering or if I better pay AWeber or a similar system.
The Normal 'Autorepsonder' from Hostmonster just works if the client uses his e-mail to send you something.
To get his e-mail account Thur a optin (form for a Newsletter or similar) I cant use this, so I thought that the "Mail List" can resolve this.
But looks like the Maillist is not very popular. Or am I completely wrong and the mail list cant be used for what I am looking for ?
Thanks for a short explanation

I'm not quite sure exactly what you are asking for. If you are wanting an email list where users can sign up manually using their email address, and you can send one email to multiple people, then I would HIGHLY recommend a program called Dada Mail. It's free, written in Perl, and has a great community of people. The developer is also very easy to get in touch with and is sensitive to requests.
Currently, he is developing a multi-field signup form where Dada Mail tracks first names, last names, cities, etc. You will also be able to personalize the emails by crafting an email that has each user's first name (if they input it) at the beginning.
Check them out at http://mojo.skazat.com. If you get a site down error, keep trying. The developer is currently trying to move his site to a larger server due to popularity and his current site keeps going down for bandwidth overages.

Dear shadmego
Thanks for the tip, I will go and take a look.
What I am interested in is a automated system to capture e-mails who subscribe to a Newsletter or for to get Free Reports or so.
After subscription they will receive a autoresponder, and periodically a promotion e-mail for some stuff I want to sell. All automated.
Or they subscribe at squeeze page A, and then jump automatically to a download page B and at the same time the autoresponder system will send themes a welcome e-mail.
HM Autoresponder only works if the visitor uses his e-mail account to send me some information. If I try to collect e-mails over a opt in at my page the HM Autoresponder dont recognize the e-mail from whom subscribed, i.e. gives an error message "could not deliver e-mail, account not available".
So HM Mail List has a Autoresponder system, I've seen this once. It's quite complicated to set up I guess so I would like to know first if it works well.
I need something similar to AWEBER Autoresponder if you are fam. with it. But this cost 20.- a month and I am some kind of short in cash.

The best thing about this program is, if it isn't what you need, then you haven't lost any money!
