Hello, I've installed a script that uses php and has index.php file. How do I set the server to seek index.php as the default index extension?
The server will automatically do this. Not 100% sure whether index.php or index.html takes precedence so you may want to remove index.html if you have one. (Plus you may need to remove default.html if there is one of those too)

http://www.videoxone.com/ It says I must do it myself.
Sorry can't read anything but English :) Anyway, it may just be saying that as other hosts may require it.
Anyway, as I'm seeing a PHPList screen I'm guessing that its worked...

Well I still can't get it to read index.php as a default index file
if you type http://www.videoxone.com/index.php you will be directed to the program. But if you type http://www.videoxone.com you will get the error message. I've tried looking everywhere and I couldn't find how to change the index default files.
Strange - works fine for me...
Maybe someone else can try?
You haven't moved the domain from somewhere else have you? (If so maybe you're still pointing to the old server)
Also what error you getting? (And have you tried doing a CTRL-F5?)

Both links point to the same page for me (at least that's what it looks like).

Both links look identical to me. As a test, could you make a slight change to the site and run your test again to see if that change is reflected on both links. If it is, you're good to go, if not, the one that didn't change is pointing to the old location.

This is the same address and I have not transfared my domain from anywhere. I've tried with different files. I know there should be a possibility to customize which file the server will recognize. For example if I want to my default file to be default.aspx instead of index.html. I think I will just open a ticket then and ask the host company. Thanks for you help.

Problem solved. I had to edit the .htaccess and just type in "index.php". I found the solution in knowledge base.
