How To Upload With Unlimited FTP

Since last month, I have been working and designing my web page with Microsoft Frontpage. When I finished, I got ready to upload it. When the upload tool from Frontpage didn’t work like I expected, I nearly burst with anger. After posting a very long thread, I still didn’t learn anything. I decided I would do some researching on some old threads. After a short time period, I figured out I could use Unlimited FTP. It took me a while to learn it but I finally did.

Open Unlimited FTP

Log onto your C-Panel from www.hostmonster.com. Scroll down and you will find Unlimited FTP in the Files box. It will say “Unlimited FTP” with a sign that shows an arrow going up, and an arrow going down. Click on it and a page should open up. It should open up on another page but if it doesn’t, press the button that says “unlimitedFTP”.

Start Using Unlimited FTP

The page should load unless you don’t have Java installed. You can download it at the bottom of the page. The left side box should show the contents of the files and folders on your computer. The right side shows the files in your account. Start by double clicking on the folder that says “ public_html”on the right side. It should show the contents. In the left window, on your local computer, navigate to where the files are you want to upload to your webserver.(Example: C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name or Nickname\Webpages\Mainpage.html) Double click it or highlight it and press the upload button at the bottom. A box should pop-up and show you the progress. When it’s done, rename your main page index.html, default.html, index.htm, and index.php. Open up another window or tab and access your website. The web page you want should be there.

If I missed anything, please send me a private message.
