Hi all, I have a problem where users are directed to an old IP address when they go to my domain.
when users go to www.kachouh.org, sometimes they are directed to an old IP that was used over a year ago with another hosting company. I called my hostmonster they said that their NS servers are going to the correct IP address and it is not their problem.

DNSStuff, DNS Lookup is showing the old IP address
DNSStuff, DNS Timing for www.kachouh.org shows the correct IP but for kachouh.org (no www) shows the old one

megaproxy.com for www.kachouh.org goes to the old IP address (sometimes if I refresh 5 or 6 times, it might go to the correct one!!!!!)

I am going nuts trying to figure this out, I know that the old IP address is for Godaddy.com

my domain is kachouh.org hosted and registrar of hostmonster.com
my old hosting company is godaddy.com and at that time it was registered with them.

any help or ideas on how to fix this is appreciated.

When did you change the nameservers to point to Hostmonster?

It usually takes a day or two for the changes to propagate through the DNS network.

I just clicked the link you gave in your post and got a family tree sight. Is that correct?

this problem been since I moved with Hostmonster around august 14, Hostmonster support reset the DNS record to delete the A record that referenced the old IP I think September 14

some users can go to www.kachouh.org but not to kachouh.org (without the www)

my main concern is that megaproxy.com is referencing the old IP

Ok, I see the problem now. I can access the site fine directly, but if I route the connection through a proxy or Tor node, the Nameserver resolves to linhost153.prod.mesa1.secureserver.net. Have you tried contacting secureserver.net to ask about this?

Secureserver.net sounds like a godaddy server. If you can, log into the godaddy control panel and look for a way to change the cname entry for your domain name.

It should have been done already by HM, but the setting might still have to be done manually by you. I've never transferred a domain name, so I'm not entirely familiar with this process.
